Fifty Shades of Make-Up

As we now approach the end of the main wedding season, I thought I would take the time to reflect back on what has been the busiest summer so far for Beauty Treats Wedding & Prom Make Up.

I have visited many gorgeous brides since spring, getting married in great venues such as The Old Rectory - Dunton, Leez Priory - Chelmsford, Langdon Hills Golf Club and Fryern Manor - Dunton.

There's been many laughs and a few tears, I must confess mostly from me!  I blubbed when Chrissie's Dad entered the room and saw his daughter as a bride for the first time, again when I watched Selina emerge from the beautiful manor house (The Old Rectory) with her lovely children making their way to groom Daddy and numerous other occasions when my brides appeared in their dresses.

Many of my wedding parties have taken the new for 2014 airbrush make up service.  Using Airbase make up which is silicone based, the brides have felt a million dollars on their special day with the knowledge that their make will stay in place, feel like and look natural.

As well as Airbase I introduced the Urban Decay naked pallette to my collection, great for a bridal smokey eye this has been a well used product over the summer!

The vintage wedding has grown and grown in popularity this summer and in the past 2 weeks alone I have recreated a more unusual look for brides with vintage style weddings.  The inspiration I have had for this look lies mainly in the 1940's & 50's; light black liner and mainly pale eyes and base, with the lips being the main feature of this look.  Red lips have been highlighted with lip liner first then shades of lipstick to rival a royal mail post box! The hairdressers I have met have been working wonders too, the Victory Rolls and Pin Curls have been up in full force.

I'm looking forward to my last remaining weddings of 2014, slipping more autumnal browns and golds into the natural looks of my brides and to all the early weddings of the following year.

What will the 2015 trends be......?
